Our staff at Park Meadow Dental would like to wish you a happy holiday season — we hope you enjoy this time with friends and family! Additionally, thank you for your continued support throughout the year, we appreciate your loyalty and we look forward to serving in 2022!

Being a Medicine Hat-owned and operated business, we feel privileged to serve the delightful families of this beautiful community.

As such, we would like to provide you with a few dental tips for the upcoming holiday season!

1. Keep up with good dental habits

It becomes very easy to let your good dental habits slide when the holiday season approaches. Sugary foods, alcoholic beverages, late-night celebrations, etc. These things act as “valid” reasons as to why it’s okay to skip a night of brushing your teeth or flossing. And that can become a slippery slope, because before you know it, that one night has turned into a week, and then that week has turned into a month, and now, you’re completely out of the routine.

So try to keep up with your good dental habits. That way, you can preserve your oral hygiene and hit the ground running in 2022!

2. Be cognizant of your teeth

Do your teeth have any stinging, aching, or acute pains? If so, this is indicative that you may be due for a dentist appointment. Be conscious of your teeth. Pay attention to the pains or aches that you may be experiencing — they could be problematic — especially if the pain is chronic. This is the body’s way of communicating to you that something is amidst.

3. Monitor the children

Typically, most adults can control themselves during the holidays. However, the same can’t always be said for youngsters. Be sure to keep an eye on your kids when it comes to what they’re consuming. Sometimes their dietary choices can escape you, especially if you’re preoccupied with enjoying yourself during the holiday celebrations with friends and relatives.

By simply being mindful of what your children are consuming, you could save them from having to experience the pain of a sugar-induced cavity.

4. Visit us for a pre-holiday appointment

To ensure your teeth are ready for the holidays, it would be a good idea to book a pre-holiday visit with us to make certain everything is in working order. Here at Park Meadow Dental, we specialize in both family and children’s dentistry, along with dental implants, partial dentures, root canal therapy and much more! This pre-holiday appointment will allow you to enjoy all your holiday food the way you intended to, without the worry of your oral health being compromised.

Conclusion

From all of us here at Park Meadow Dental, we wish you a happy new year and holiday season! If you know of anyone who is in need of dental services, please don’t hesitate to refer us as we will be taking on new patients in the new year. We’re never too busy for your referrals.

Happy holidays!
