Park Meadows Dental Celebrates 10 Years with $10,000 Donation to The Root Cellar

In 2026, Park Meadows Dental marked a meaningful milestone: 10 years under current ownership. To celebrate the achievement of a decade, we donated $10,000 to The Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub, a local organization that supports individuals and families facing food insecurity in Medicine Hat and the surrounding area.

Celebrating a Milestone by Giving Back

Park Meadows Dental has served Medicine Hat families for decades. Yet ten years ago, the practice came under new ownership, and this milestone marks a decade of carrying that legacy forward.

“Park Meadows Dental was already part of this community long before any of us arrived. What we are marking is ten years of being trusted to carry it forward,” said Dr. David Bissett, lead dentist at Park Meadows Dental and Canadian Olympic medalist. “That trust belongs to the patients, the team, and the city. The Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub is doing work that strengthens Medicine Hat at the ground level, and we wanted our anniversary to mean something beyond the clinic walls.”

Rather than focusing only on the milestone itself, we chose to support an organization doing meaningful work in our community every day. The donation to The Root Cellar reflects our belief that a healthy community is built through care, trust, and shared support.

Supporting The Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub

The Root Cellar Food and Wellness Hub plays a vital role in Medicine Hat, helping local households access food and wellness resources. Its programs include emergency food support through the community pantry, community kitchen services, and wellness-focused initiatives designed to address the root causes of food insecurity — not just the symptoms.

The $10,000 donation from Park Meadows Dental will help The Root Cellar continue supporting families, children, and individuals who rely on these services.
